Migrante Australia has launched a “Damayang Migrante” (can be translated to “compassionate action” or “we are in this together”) after several migrant workers, international students and other struggling members of our community, raised their hardship now due to COVID 19. Many among them lost their jobs and since they are holders of temporary visa, they are not getting any support from the government.
We are encouraging anyone who can donate goods such as food & groceries, consumables or cash. We are organising several drop off & pick-up points around Melbourne:
